If thats how you took my post I apologize I didnt intentionly word it to sound like I was talking down to you.

The mods cannot dictate policy. They meerly enforce it. They are like cops... they dont make the laws, they enforce it. If your unhappy with a certain rule contact the admin and vent to them. He probably blew you off because he get hit with the same thing over and over. Its a TUFF job that most people have no idea about till they become a mod.

Again, my apologies if my previous post came across as harsh or "attacking"

Dan

I appreciate that Dan. Thanks and I totally know where you're coming from. I'm been mod's and supermods on other forums and still am, so I know what its like. I just wanted to raise a few points and see if they'd consider looking at the positives instead of only the negatives (that is if they've only seen the negatives). I also enjoy debate. Always have so I try to look at everything instead of just what I like, from a fair perspective. Comes from being a Libra I'm told

I get it. People who do not agree with your position are arrogant? We have addressed this issue many times and you offered nothing new. Except your miffed because the answer is no. I told you before that the decision is a group decision by the moderators (not just me) and supported by the owner. I am unable to make it any clearer.

As far as my opinion, you keep missing the "personal responsibility" part of street racing. We as a community need to take a responsible position. Your street racing affects ME. Local police are routinely pulling over imports because of you. It is that simple. Thanks.

Speedlimit.....

No. People who say "well we aren't changing it. moving on." are arrogant because you take no time to see both sides, that or at least acknowledge that you have.

You could have said "well you have some points but none of us really have anything to do with it. Talk to the big guy about that".

Instead you were dismissive.

Seeing what I mean yet?

Yes, we as mods can be dismissive. But do you realize that you're the 5th person to argue the exact same point in the last week?

To borrow the police officer example, when the 5th person that week went "why do I have to wear my seatbelt?" you'd probably come back with "because it's the law; here's your ticket, drive safe, bye."

Not to sound dismissive myself, but it just really gets old, dude.

Indeed I do. I gave you my reason for voting not to allow it. Your argument is not new and not persuasive for me. Sorry. You opened a discussion in which you knew the answer and then take offense because it was not given the proper review? OK. As far as dismissive and arrogant; I apologize for my inability to communicate with you.

Please PM me if you want to discuss this further. Thanks.

Speedlimit arrogant??

You are definitely mistaken here. He is probably the least arrogant and most understanding mod or supermod we have.

If you want to hate anyone, hate me. I was one of the main players in the street racing ban back in the day for exactly the reasons stated by Speedlimit.
It is illegal activity and it's only a matter of time before internet forums are named in a lawsuit due to a street racing incident. We are not only protecting the owners of this site but the members as well.

Here is for example:
You are allowed to post about your street racing adventures. One night an accident happens and you seriously injure someone. You claim that you were not racing, blah blah. The affected party or law enforcement find your adventure posted on the internet and you are screwed. Now instead of a slap on the wrist you get jail time.
See the point?

I honest don't care what happens if someone is caught street racing if the cause harm to a bystander but I do care that this site is not ultimately the "example" to the rest of the forum world that you can be held accountable for what you allow on your site. Remember this is a privately owned site so some liability is present for the owner.

Thanks Danny for the kind words. People don't understand that we do this for FREE. Heck I am on here 7 days a week for at least 4 hours a day minimum. We take our best judgement to weed out the B.S. and keep the troublemakers etc.. of the site.
