How dark should i go for tints?

Hey, i was just wondering what your opinions are on window tinting. I have a labrador black Ralliart and im having the windows tinted tomorrow morning. Should i go for 5% or 15%? i know obviously the 5% will be darker at night but how bad will it be to drive at night? how hard will it be to see through the back window. Also how much difference is there between 15% and 5% when looking at them?

well i had 35% on the front and 23% on the back.. but with that and the factory tint on the windows it evened out to be somewhere around 14% back and 24% on front i think (my numbers may be off a bit). I get pulled over for it once in a while but haven't gotten a ticket yet, just verbal warnings... Just keep in mind your state laws and don't make it too obvious that it's eye catching...

i had 23% done.. turned out to be like 14% after a cop tested it.. lol but yea it looks alright, i can see out ok, and well i don't have a problem with seeing things, if i do i just roll the window down or something. Your eyes get used to the tints.. i'm so used to it driving a car without tints is challenging. (all my cars have tints at "illegal" levels)

lol i dont think in NJ there is an illegal level... but i just cant tint the driver and pasenger door windows. hmmm so maybe if i went with 24%, ill end with the 15%, heh. i never really realized that the windows had a tint to them... i just want nice looking color, to match the black car, but still able to see out the back in the dark.

NJ law states that if you have L&R side mirrors, you can go as dark as you want on the rear and rear door windows, as long as you don't tint the front door windows or windshield. You could even paint them black from the inside if you wanted.

ANY tint on the front door windows is illegal.

You'll have to see the different shades on actual cars to know what you want.

5% is what they use on limo's, you can't see in at all.
