Cd player placement

Does anyone not like the placement of the cd player?

I think its too high.. I like to rest my hand on the shifter and be able to manipulate the stereo.

I have seen some mods to move the cd player down to that lil shelf.

I plan on putting in an MP3/CD player soon and would like to install the new cd player down there in that shelf area.

Anyone know of someone to do this or anything?

That kit works with the stock stereo?

After doing some talks with a friend that knows stereos..(used to do them) I am keeping my stock head unit for the stock looking factor(i hate thieves) and adding a new amp and 12" to my system.

I was actually thinkin of relocating the radio myself for my car as well, and I searched around on the forum and I believe there is a thread that has the part numbers for the relocation kit in different colors. In the link above its it black, so I dunno if yer RA has black interior, cause my ES has grey interior, so I would need the grey one....lemme look for the thread with the part numbers.

ahh....here it is:

the part is the lower din parts. as you can see, there are diff colors, but the prices are pretty high compared to the one above, hmmm, maybe I should settle for the black one and maybe try to paint some of my interior parts to match.

if you are relocating the radio, you have to buy the WHOLE kit.. which is why it's more money

if you are going to mount gauges down under, you only need the cover, which is less money
