Last minute advice for Eyelids?
I'm picking up my eyelids today (getting painted). I will be using 3m/Scotch 2-sided weatherproof foam tape on them.
One concern I have is that I might put them on crooked. I want to make sure I put them on with precision. Once I stick them on, is there any room for adjustment? Or do I just say a prayer before I stick them on? Any suggestions???

If you can find a crayon (I know it sounds weird but bare with me), just put the eyelids on and trace the contour. Then check to see if you think the lines are okay. You can then rely on them to place the eyelids exactly where they should be.
And no, you won't get a second chance if you use the 3M tape... it sticks to it like crazy. It doesn't even let go at minus 40 degrees, so don't hope to get your eyelid removed in one piece if it's crooked...

EDIT: Sorry , I just realized you said you'd use their foam tape... it's way more forgiving (but weaker too).

as you hold them in your hands with the tape on, measure the top half to line up evenly to the top of the headlight... its pretty easy i had no troubles! line those edges close to each other and just press down
just test fit them exactly how you want them. then put them on, straight down. its better to use the 3m double sideded automotive tape cause it is strongerand thinner than the foam. it comes in a roll with red lining on the outside and the gray sticky putt like tape

No second chances. I didn't realize that either. When I put my second one on it was about 1/4 an inch higher than the other. Thankfully it's not really noticable unless of course you're standing 3 feet directly in front of the car and even it's not horrible looking. But still, you want to get it right the first time.

Thanks for all your advice folks!! I put them on Friday and they look GREAT.
