i don't hate on it but i don't give thumbs up when im driving either. Thing is alot of non-enthusiast drives these cars too

i'm gonna say that there are a lot of evo owners that are cool. the arrogant ones think an evo is a "status" car. $30k+ and able to hang with the big boys in handling and power. change a few words and it sounds like a Ross or TJ Maxx commerical. designer label clothes without the designer label price. so now that they got "status" that they feel they worked so hard for, they wanna rub it in your face. those guys trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents just to get ahead of the next guy. chances are they're gonna put it in the "for sale" forum after a few months of maintenance.

oh well. it's a small percentage of them anyways. let's get over it.

goes back to what i was saying. if they're that "type," then they'll just say they're still going home in an evo. it's ego more than anything. they're not going to go away.

just keep on keepin on.

 

I guess that applies to David Beckhams Kid... he's not even 10 (I believe) and has a Kit ferrari.... only cost $80k. But i'm sure his kid is more mature than us.

It's not the price tag. It's age and experience... You could be a mature 19 year old and drive a Geo Metro as where an immature 30 year old kills you for being immature in a $50k benz.

 

As you said the true Mitsu enthusiast will back up the lancers. For those Evo Owners who think they dont drive a lancer, grow up. U drive a lancer just like srt owners drive neons. RA can keep up and beat its competitors. Nothing bad aout the RA, well execept for the altezzas. But i think evo owners face the same problem.

I think those that hate lancers and dont like calling there cars lancers are those that jumped on the evo wagon becasue it is the "IT" car right now. They would prolly say something stupid like the evo is the first good car made by Mitsubishi.

EDIT: Totally forgot about this post. Anyway, I dont believe Ralliart sucks. I, personally an EVO driver, do not think other cars suck. Everybody has different tastes. IMO, an EVO wing on a RA looks HOT! But please get the Evo VIII wing and not the VII. Somehow, it only looks good on the VII with the JDM bumper.

The JDM RA? It's got a 1.8l engine... so the numbers are almost exactly what we see on the USDM RA.


But back on topic... I must admit we've seen more RA haters lately and yes, a number of them were from the EVO community. I always have the feeling they are bashing on themselves though... so it makes me wanna laugh more than anything else. Basically, an EVO is a Lancer with more welds and a much better drivetrain and suspension combo. It's like choosing your trim level but pushed to the extreme. The EVO is a Lancer... and BTW, it says so on the car when you buy it.

And yes, I'd drive an EVO right now if I could afford one... who wouldn't have gotten the top of the line in the showroom if they could have afforded it? Then again, they don't sell EVOs around here... but that's another story.

I think if you look closely, then you will see that the people who are hating on RAs are the same people who flame other EVO owners as well.

Haters are contagious. I am the first to throw props to any modded car that looks nice, regardless of what it is. More times than not, I get people revin' on me and pealing their tires. The point is simple and already stated. We are all family and to hate on someone because they don't drive the same car is lame.

I read a thread a little while ago about how an Evo RS followed an Evo VIII to a parking lot. The straight VIII was hating on the RS owner who stopped to throw him props for no other reason than the RS was not a real Evo because it is stripped-down. Give me a F'n break. There are a-holes everywhere. Be proud of your ride, and more importantly, proud of yourself because you are obviously above those who knock you because of your ride.

To answer your question, the VIII wing looks nice on the RA.
