And one big advantage your 03 has is that you don't need to worry about a 3rd brake light. We 04-06ers need to get one because ours is on the spoiler.

 

I had a brake light in my spoiler, i just unplugged it and the harness slid through one of the holes. I had a total of 4; one in the back window, one in the spoiler, and 2 taillights, now i have 3. Are you saying you'll only have two if you get the evo 8 spoiler, if so then that sucks, but yea man i had one in my spoiler too.

We don't have a light in our rear window. We only have the 3rd light in the spoiler.

 

yeah, we only get the spoiler one on the OZ and ralliart, es and ls have the light inside the rear windshield, but if i get this wing, I'll just trade someone my stock spoiler for their rear brake light and some cash.

 

now that's an idea.

 

yeah thats what I've been planning on ever since i had the idea of getting any evo spoiler. that way you get some cash towards the new wing, and keep a third brake light. i think you'll just have to drill a hole in the rear dash to put a wire through to plug it in and do something to hold the light in place.

yeah but you have to drill hole in your trunk and worry about them being perfect, RAs and OZs get the benefit of knowing its straight.

 

a little but that is what i did when i upgraded my evo. my evo came with the low gt wing(o.z lancer wing). so i install the evo wing and had to install a brake light on the back window since the brake light was on the wing. if i remember correctlly you only have to drill three holes to for the light but i did this in 03. nice lancer
