looks good smldnk . if you live where the third brake light is law buy the es one. my dealership quoted me $89can so the US will be cheaper i beleive there is a disconected right underneith where the light go's

 

yeah, theres already a connector in the trunk where the trunk light is so you just have to get the 3rd light and run the wire into the trunk and plug it up, but slmdnk is good to go cause his car came with the inner 3rd brake light.

Hey ralliarts MVP, looks good, but is the base of your wing hanging off the edge of you trunk lid?

 

yeah it is a lil bit i guess that's how it is I've seen couple of them like this

 

mine doesnt, its universal, thats what ive been saying, theres like 5 holes total on the bottom of each end, and you only use two so one pair will line up with no hanging off the edge, anyways drucea, i promise you'll be happy with the one i got

 

oh i know i would be and i'm very tempted to, but i just ran into a delima having to do with getting another car so i have to see if i will be keeping my car.

 

i know its been a while for this thread, so slmdnk, now that you've had it on for a while, how is the paint and CF look doing? any kind of fading or anything? christmas is coming up so I'm thinking of stuff i need

 

I just installed the spoiler from Spoilersmart and there is not a piece of carbon fiber in the whole wing. The spoiler is a direct replacement for my 2003 Evo VIII and it came painted and matches the car perfectly. The middle piece of the wing on the spoilersmart product is much thicker than the stock one and isn't exactly shaped the same. I don't know if this will affect the aerodynamics at speed but may be something to consider. It is a good substitute if your wing is as bad as mine was. Don't expect much from their customer service but all in all it is a good product.

However, the old wing weighs in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and the new one weighs in at 9 pounds 12 ounces. Just a little FYI if you are looking into getting one.
