reviving this thread so I don't have to start a new one and get bashed on for not searching!

anyways, here's the deal. My front bumper has no holes in the front, right now there is currently no front plate on! Well it happens that a douchebag cop decided to pull me over for no front plate and window tint -_- after like more than a year, i didn't even do anything wrong and I got pulled over... I wanted to relocate the plate to the side, so can I use the evo one? and if so, is there a difference between the evo 8 and evo 9 bracket? I really need to find out ASAP becuz I need to get my ticket signed off by the 19th of May -_- so I want to order that bracket or try and find one on evom for cheap ASAP! thanks!

I need some help on this too.

The Evo 8 and 9 brackets front plate mounts are different. The 8 mount has the big plastic piece, and some metal bracket that mounts behind it. The 9 mount, I don't believe, has the supplemental bracket.

Does anyone know the part numbers of what's all needed for the 8 mount? I have the big plastic piece, but none of the supplemental brackets & hardware, and I can't mount it to the bumper without them...

there's no metal brackets on the evo 8 one, i'm pretty sure they are the exact same
i got the evo 8 one for mine and it fit the curvature of the bumper perfectly, i mounted some L shaped brackets from lowes to the back of mine and drilled it in on the underside of the opening in the bumper/fog light area so i could take it off if i wanted and voila no holes in the front, they are hidden

i bought an evo 8 one and have it on my Ralliart. Fits perfect and depending on where you install it, it will block or not your foglight...i bought it on a mitsubishi dealership for 25 bucks...

nice rrd. so you put two L brackets? looks like one bracket is in the fog hole and the other is on the other side of the divider? and hole did you screw the license bracket to the L bracket? is there a hole or did you have to make one?

yeah one is on the fog hole, the other on the other side

basically i used the existing holes in the license bracket where you would normally screw in your plate. i used a bolt with a locking nut and pushed it through from the back to tighten the brackets on first, so the threads of the bolts are actually pointing towards the front of the license plate, then i just put some closed end nuts on the end to keep the license plate + license plate cover in place

i hope that makes sense
