just remember when u do, some powdercoaters wont take the tires off the rims, u gotta pay for that and then u also gotta pay to get your tires back on and balanced. i would say it cost me about 200 bucks altogether which isnt bad at all.

ok im DEFINITELY going to get my rims powder coated now, black. my RA is red too and i dont want new rims, i like them stock, i just want to change it up a little. and i like the red calipers too. i was also considering getting a thin red line on them too, on the outside of the rims, not the spokes but i dont know if thats too much red/black/red/black. i know this is an old thread, but i just thought i'd post anyway

I would get them Powder coated, i got new rims, and just got them powder coated black. The wheels are fine, no problems with them as i had them on my car right after i got them back, Look great. I wish i would have taken some pics with them on my car but i didnt when i was home on leave, they look really nice though. I just got pics of the wheels right now.

Hey I painted my rims. with some engine enamel. Lol at first I thought it was going to be gunmetal but it came out bronze. It looks great. Anyways heres two pics of it even though I didn't want to show my car on here yet. I'm not even close to being done with how I want the car to be done.

There is a nice right up in the EVO section about painting your rims, even with the red outer lip part....I might attempt it this weekend or next, I'll post my results!

A few months ago I got my hands on a set of rims (R.A) and these were only going to be for my track tires - did not like the silver colour so got out a tin of paint stripper and cleaned off the original paint and under this was a really nice polished silver - I ended up just leaving it the polished look...
If you can, paint the rims in a 2 part paint this is pretty sturdy stuff (same as the factory) if you powder coat them you can not repair them easily and are buggers to sand back (impossible to do )
