finally traded the altezza's for some es tails... look alot cleaner IMO.. plus i didn't have the time nor the patience to black the RA tails out...

hey...RA Tails look awesome on the silver RA's, but i think it will look even better with the spoiler back on. either way, the RA lip kit makes up for it all. looks good

 

im just not one for chrome anything...

as for the wing i have it ... thinking about popping out the 3rd brake light and filling that area and sanding it down and repainting it cuz i have a few scratchs on it... I didn't like it at first but i have actually been thinking about putting it back on...

make sure you don't get busted for not having a third brake light. I think wingless looks good, especially if you put one of those little M3 style spoiler lips on.

 

Personally I don't like it... the winglessness of it, I think these cars need it to balance out the ground effects. Plus from the side profile the trunk tilts down and gives it a bit of "bean" shape, that I just don't care for myself.

However, I also don't care fo the huge wings that some people throw on, including the evo ones.

TO me, the stock one completes the car and is a good addition to it.

But with that said, it'd be a good sleeper as most people would think you're an ES, hehe.

I would have to call bull**** if a cop pulled me over for that... if you cant see the 2 bright glowing red almost pumpkin sized lights on the back of my car... you don't need to be driving


I like how the spoiler didn't have a center post like 02-03's did but the overall look of it I just don't like for some reason... I like the Evo spoiler but I wouldn't but it on my car for 2 reasons

1) its not an evo
2) again something just doesn't look right on the RA..

I was considering RRM's almost OEM spoiler that sits a few inches higher... but I don't want to spend the money on it and not like it in the end...

It's the law that any car newer then...'84?(not sure the exact year) must have a centre brake light, thing about, manufactures won't spend the money putting it there if they didn't have to.

That and the side skirts, which is why I said "most"...not everyone has a such a sharp eye, or knows the differences of the RA to the other Lancers.

 

I talked to the parts guy at the stealership... he said that the 02-03 hub/rotors and calipers are all the same size... kinda surprised me... might have to research it a little more

but I know a couple of ppl that own wrecking yards that i could probably get a donor car that has no damage to those parts for cheap...

And since i can't sell the rims i had on my 02 why not put them on the RA they only need new rubber... my cousin is a fully certified ASE mechanic... I could make it a four lug for cheaper than it would cost to get new rims and tires... the only real costly thing would be buying gas from here(wash. state) to Ohio. and that would only be $200-$300
