I'll be in the market for a Ralliart in the next 10 months or so. Why are a good number of Ralliart owners on this forum in Canada? and Why is a new Ralliart so hard to find at Mitsu dealers in northern IL.

They're popular in Canada because there's no Evo's there, and Mitsu fanboys can't bring themselves to go with a Subaru instead.

To find a Ralliart right now you'd probably have to do some calling around to different dealers. New model year is only a few months away, so many are clearing out the 06's

True, no Evo in Canada, but the other reason why I'm on here, it's the first/best lancer forum I've found.

ok, so the Evo is just not sold in Canada. can you import one from the U.S. or is it just not legal in Canada? i'm wondering why I can't find a new one in Illinois. i've been to 3 Mitsu dealers and none has a new one. i look on cars.com and i find maybe 4 or 5 within a 100 mile radius of me. and they are used. i'd think about getting a used one, but don't know what kind of warranty i can get or whats offered through Mitsu for a 2nd owner. they used ones i have found have fairly low miles and sticker price isn't too expensive and i could always talk them down.

I just bought a used ralliart in illinois. 13k miles for 14k OTD. The warranty will be 6year/60,000 powertrain, 3 year/36,000 bumber to bumber IIRC. I'd say going slightly used is better/way cheaper than going brand new, unless you're loaded of course.

you cannot import a evo VIII into canada because it doenst pass our bumper regulations, it has to be able to with stand a hit from 8km/h and not break. But the Evo I just became eligible for importing this year

I'd branch out and try some new colors. I wanted a silver one too, but then I saw a black one and a red one in person and they just stood out more. Think of all the silver grand am's and civic you see floating around, they just seem like every other car, granted they are crap, but still. I was dead set against getting red when I was shopping but I'm sooooo happy I found this baby, the mitsu red is so hot. Also the red and yellow RA's I think are the only ones that look good with the altezzas, silver looks ok because the chrome blends with the color. If you get black or white, i'd def look into trading for some ES lights.
