Shifter boot install

Hey, does anyone know how to remove the shifter boot? I've got a new shift knob on and there is about a 2 inch gap between boot and knob. Haven't been able to figure out something to cover it that didn't look crappy, so I figure a new boot would be best - just don't know how to remove the old one- and am worried about making a real mess/breaking stuff trying.
Any advice would be much appreciated

hmmm....well....if you pretty much know how to remove the center console to get to your shifter....its pretty simple after dat. theres a plastic piece with four screws keeping the boot in place....so you just remove the screws and the plastic piece first and it should come off.

I replaced my shift boot when I installed my short shifter.

You absolute champion! cheers for pointing that out!

I know its an Initial D thing, with the Team Emperor Evo drivers... but funnily enough I've seen individually or in a group of around 4-5 ScoobieDoo WRX's around Perth with 'Emperor' and a Biohazard symbol on their cars. Don't know who they are though, if they are just friends or a real track team or what
