how did you go about blacking the badges? Did you have to remove them from the car to do it?

nope...quite easy as long as you have patience.

- PepBoys Flat/Matte Black Dulpi Color Spray Paint
- PepBoys Clear Coat Dulpi Color Spray Paint
- Masking Tape
- Newspaper
- Razor

i taped around the emblems which was quite a pain due to the ins and outs of the symbol, but i made sure to get as close to the emblem as possible and put a layer of masking tape around it. then i opened up the hood and taped newspaper around it as to not get it on the car. then i just sprayed it on. as for the rear emblem it was a tad bit easier due to the fact that you can get a little bit of the masking tape under the edges of the emblem. same thing as far as taping and paper for the back...i would suggest right after spraying it to open the trunk and lift it all the way up soo it you accidently sprayed on too much it wont settle on the bottom of the emblem resulting in a bump. as for the wheel caps..they simply pop off...

now the first time around i shouldve sanded the emblems because it started to chip soo i basically just went over it with a bunch of coats in flat black then a bunch in clear cause i didnt feel like sanding and theyre perfectly fine now...but the wheel caps i HAD to sand...the paint just ran right off like water for some reason. i would also suggest using painters tape because i ended up pulling a miniscule peice of clear coat off when removing the tape from the car.

but like i said if you dont want to do all the sanding then just make sure to put on a bunch of coats in both the color and then clear

I like the black wheel logos, but the front and back would have probably looked better with shiroboi's overlays. I've never been a fan of the rear bench.
