JDM is everything and anything japanese domestic market be it aftermarket or oem. JDM goes both ways with wild and clean styles. Lets say if someone put on an Ab Flug widebody kit on their Supra a long with some other JDM goods to match it would be considered JDM but for those of you who don't know Ab Flug makes some pretty wild and aggressive body kits. The other part to the JDM scene is aquiring the more rare parts for their car that will make it more "JDM" and of course the more rare the part is the more the expensive it is...so, only the true hardcore JDM nuts with deep pockets really get into this scene.

In the honda scene its common to pay 150-250 just for a set of rear bumper mounted fog lights. My friend has 3 project cars 1 DA integra and 2 crx's one which he just paid almost 2k for a glass top roof.

the other cheaper way to go is the "JDM Style" which is basically using anything and everything you can to get that clean look. Imitation/copied parts are commonly used but the overall look that people go for with "JDM Style" is that clean look. Some people pull it off really well and some don't thats why JDM Style cars catch a lot of heat.

some will argue that using copied/imitation parts are cheap products and crap quality and some will argue that they are good enough, just as good or even better than the original product...which i will leave alone and let you as an individual make that decision for yourself but please do your research before arguing your opinion to anyone in regards to this subject. This subject is one of those sensitive subjects like religion or politics.

You know what's funny about the JDM name. Going to a cheesy automotive website and having American cars and American-made/designed import cars with JDM parts. JDM Cold Air Intake for a Ford Mustang?!

i like that olive green mirage myself. I used to own a mirage and if i had a 4g like that i would've gone in that direction as well...try to be different from all the evo3 conversions.

that car is currently not running its in the garage for some serious work i'll see if we can roll it out to shoot it real quick or as soon as its rolling again we'll take it out for a proper photoshoot,

Awesome cant wait to see. Is it just the body conversion or is it a full drivetrain swap? Either way it looks great.

not stupid...

wouldn't say it is a stupid topic, to many people put to much non-sense on their cars to make it look good, i agree with the guy who started the thread, were are the clean looking RA's without all the non-sense involved?...you know, the keep it simple look...i own a 2001 lancer glxi with the clean simple look and granted it looks better the way it is vs all these body kitted cars...
