So I'm looking into getting tints for my car.

Anyone from IL have tints installed? I'm curious to what tints that people have gotten away with or haven't had too much trouble for getting window tint tickets. What combination work okay without getting into alot of trouble or at least what aren't too noticeable before I get into trouble.

Dude, dont worry so much. It will be warm here in a month or two and my front windows stay down all the time. To be honest if you really go out and look for cars with dark tint's there are alot more than you think.

 

Yes, at least in MA. my buddy got pulled over few times for 20% tint (all around), then he finally changed it to 35% and they left him alone.

 

got my first ticket today from campus police for not yielding to a pedestrian.

point being with a bogus $25 campus ticket like that, and a warning for 20 in a 10, not one word was said about my 5% tints. In TX at least, its too hot for anyone to care.

 

i have a lot of campus police here at SDSU and i dont think they care about tints. they're mainly public safety, but these fools have legit police cars, so maybe im wrong
