Not much for function since they're way too thick but I guess for cosmetics not bad. I would try to make them have less of a flat/cornered look on the lower portion and the rear portion of it but not bad for something you made at home.

I definitely give you creativity points.

Good point. A diffuser implies you covered a large portion of the underside for aerodynamic effect.

I think either "I gave my rear bumper a FauxHawk" or "Homemade upside-down Vortex Generator for the bottom of the rear bumper of my Lancer" would be better.

Yup. Also, a diffuser is pretty useless if you have really turbulent air going into it. So you might as well run an entire underbody on your car too.

Honestly, for a home made project, first attempt. Very good

Only thing I would say is if you have more cut outs, you could sand them down, give them smoother edging similar to a Vortex Genorator, would give it a nice finished look.

the only things I could think of for improoving this would be to source black plastic so that if the base color was a better match (yes you would still paint over it, but still)

And also adding a small pin to the sides of the main bolt hole which would ensure that the plastic triangle stays in a verticle position. Wouldnt need to bolt to the bumper.
