(just compared from mazdausa.com and mazda.ca)
i suppose that's how i ended up buying a 2014 but in canada you can only buy a 2013 this year(so far)...ps you also have more color options than black, grey or silver for the cx-5 w/ a manual trans...

ok, so here are some teasers...i was going to keep this all a secret for the shootout, but i already listed the things i'm doing in the track prep thread, and i couldn't help sneaking the dunlops into my signature...they're not installed so technically they shouldn't be in my sig, but oh well...

car in the air...

new shoes

New brakes on the rear...centric premium rotors, and hawk HPS pads

And here's a little preview of the wheels...they are the old chrome JDM's refinished and painted...

these wheels are 16x6...i would have liked a 215 or 225 but then i would need 7" wheels...

i would have loved to get a set of motegi mr125 16x7, but funds would not allow, i've spet enough as it is on tires brakes and axles...adding wheels to the mix would have not only broken the bank, but also landed me on the couch, the wife was even willing to buy me dunlop direzza DZ101's for my birthday, but when i mentioned the ZII's she made it clear i was to buy them myself ...i run slicks on the 1/4 mile anyhow, and with a bit of negative camber the car will handle just fine on the road coarse...

I gave some serious thought into getting those same tires when I ordered my MR125s at the beginning of the year. They look great! And the wheels look awesome bronze!!!

those are DZ101's at 215, ZII's don't come in a 215 width on a 16" wheel...the 6" rim is also on the low end which means you got more tire than wheel, which means squishy side walls...so even with less contact surface you're better off with proper fitting tires.

Little tid bit, I sold my 2003 Lancer ES to my wife's step brother, and bought a mazda5. It's a 2008 5-speed manual, GS sport model, grey with factory roof racks.

So I've encountered two new power related failures...one is directly related to additional power, the other is a byproduct...

drum roll here...

Finally, Geardownson's prophecy has come true...my clutch master cylinder has failed ...and guess where it failed (that stupid plate that's bolted on the side). So I once again had to drive over 200km home with no clutch. This is not power related, but again, the need for a stronger clutch eventually led to the demise of my master cylinder. Evo 8/9 master cylinder on order

directly related to power...the bracket on the transmission case that bolts to the rear mount (roll stopper) has completely sheared off at the bolt holes...FML...one of those on order as well...also while i'm at it, I ordered the revised fuel injector O-rings and seals.
