you should definitely have 2 boosted RA's since, you already have 2...I mean...2 cars, 2 turbos...kind of logical, really...

LOL I thought about a twin turbo RA one night. Figured using two tiny VW turbos would be cool. Was just day dreaming tho. LOL

I changed the transmission side mount to get rid of the popping noise I was having a while back. However it started squeaking real bad instead. So last night I went out and was going to take a closer look at it. Wiggled it around couldnt see much. Jacked up the car and then lifted the transmission to take some load off of the mount. Thats when I noticed one of the studs had fresh clean threads exposed. So I go to remove the nut and the whole damn stud came out. Along with it came the threads from the tranny... I most likely tightened it a bit too much and stripped the threads making that stud squeak. So Im going to tap the hole, and round up a bolt to replace the stud with. Then check the rest of the studs to make sure I didnt ruin anymore of them...

Well I tapped the bolt hole to 1/2" and put a grade 8 bolt in. Checked the others and they seemed fine. 90% of the noise I was having is gone now. However if the car is in gear and I load the torque converter you can hear a small popping somewhere, and it still has a small squeak if I take off hard. I'll poke around. But I can live with this. Its much better than the loud popping and squeaking I was having before.

Think that the squeak is something internal to the trans? Check the bolts to the torque converter perhaps? Maybe one of them came loose.

Check suspension too? Maybe the driveshafts are loose or something.

Finally got my front bumper stitched (riveted) back together. Reinforced it with sheet metal, removed the fog lights (passenger side's mounts were broken), trimmed a bit, and put the lip back on. Just need to clean it up and try to fix some dings.

Left the splash guards pulled up how I had them when the bumper was off. Now the holes for the fog lights aim air right toward the brakes. i can either leave it as is or it would be VERY easy to make some brake cooling ducts now.

Also installed an Evo steering wheel! You guys know how much these usually go for! I got this one for $70 because it was missing the bolts that hold the airbag in place. Got two for less than $2!!! Its smaller than our stock wheel so the response is more direct feeling, also feels a hair heavier. I love it!

Your front bumper reminds me of frankenstein with all them rivets lol

liking the steering wheel! i miss my old steering wheel from the last car. it was much easier to manipulate with the leather since it was softer and had more grip as opposed to the wheels that the current lancers have

Nice work on the stitches. And love the wheel - it was basically plug n' play since yours is not an '06?
