Are your windows tinted? **READ**

I was having my windows tinted tomorrow and I decided to go ahead and go with 5% in the back all around with 30% with the up front windows. In Cali, where I'm from, cops really trip on tint on the front windows and I've heard some bad cases of friends getting pulled over and paying a fix it ticket, plus having the cop scratch their tint off with a key, along with other things to make me decide that I'll just stick with 30% up front. My first plan was to tint the car 5% all around but after the stories I've heard, I'll stick with 5% in the back and 30% up front with the front tint visor on the windshield. My question is..

Does 30% look good? I have no clue what 30% looks like but the company who's doing my car said they'll only go as dark as 30% up front so I was wanting someone who has 30% upfront or in general on their Lancer to post a few pictures so I can see how dark it looks compared to stock? Thanks in advance.

That's 4% on the back and back sides. Nothing on the front or front sides. PM me for me pics of the back and stuff.

I think 30 will be alright for you. I did my car 15 all around and the cops have left me alone for the most part in IL. If a cop wants to scrath up your tint, Give em the finger, or at least thats what i would do. Good luck with your tint. Post some pics after you get it done. I think the lancer looks much better with the tints than without.

They can't do that no matter what state they are from. It's damage to personal property.

And BTW....2 different tones of tint on a car looks like @$$. Do one % level all the way around.

Your Evo is ****ing beautiful! BRB I'm going to go to that picture for a little while.

IMO tint looks nice in general, but looks GREAT on silver cars. Glad my RA is silver. I'll have pictures on the site of the tint in a few days.

Your pics aren't working.

And yes, I do agree with the other guy that two tones of tint doesn't look as good as one solid color. But I'm NOT about to have 30% tint wrapped around my car. I want the back to be 5% regardless.

If the pic doesn't work - leave the page, then come back and hit refresh. That's what I always have to do - wierd stuff.

you know what i saw screw the cops they cant scratch your tint of on the spot, they have to let you change it. If i ever had a cop do that to my ralliart i would flip **** on them and have them pay for it. Damn pigs hahaha. GO LANCERS!!!!

Carefull when you do get your tint. Make sure the shop has been around awhile.... I paid extra for titanium tint when it first came out. A year later I found out I didn't have titanium tint and my tint is fading now... I was also told I had 5% in the back and %15 up front. It ended up with %15 in back and %30 up front. Now I know what not to do... but make sure they show you the tint you are getting and make sure it looks the same after its on your car. I went back to get my tint fixed. The business had closed, changed names and pretended to know nothing about the tint.

Easiest thing to do it when you buy a new car, have the dealer tint it. Then you won't worry about where they will be in a year or two, plus u get it out of the way and saves u installation costs.

Yeah, it is easy but their going to charge you double the price.
