JS, you seem to have missed blaze's answer...

Gunk is the name of a solvent that you can buy at any autoparts store. It cuts through dirt and oil like a hot knife through butter. You wipe it on, wipe it off, or hose it all down after letting it soak for a while.

It really works. An alternative is to go to the local car wash that has an "engine" setting and blast the sucker. Make sure not to get any water in the airbox or damage and hoses, and don't do it if you've been driving all day. Hot motor can cause steaming, which can burn you if you're not careful.

I use either GUNK engine degreaser or a regular engine cleaner from a local parts store or target stores.... Just warm up your car, shut it off, and spray a little water on and then the degreaser and let set for about 15 min. and then spray off. Just dont overuse the water...

If ur talking about the floor, what I have always used is Suave shampoo. It works good on concrete floors and driveways. Just squirt out some of it on the ground use a bristle broom or scrub brush, work it in add a little water, let sit bor a bit then rinse. If ur talkin about ur engine I use something called Engine Brite, it also cleans out ur oven! gracie

"Dave's Insanity (hot) Sauce" cleans everything, including grease/oil stains on your driveway. It says so right on the bottle...

having just had to clean oil and other foreign fluids off my drive way from the fire water and laundry soap works like a charm. It took me about 20 min to some really bad crap off my driveway.
