I am repeating this from the Canadian site as I would really appreciate input and again apologize but have been unable to come up with anything doing a search. I am very excited about the forum and the step by step help for audio and other installations. I am going from a home theater nut to another time consuming expensive hobby. Got to love it.

Sorry to post this but I have been unable find anything in the whole forum doing a search. What is the best product to preserve the factory paint and finish. Taking delivery in the am of my Ralliart and I want to do it right.

Any suggestions for appearance upkeep would be most appreciated.

Regards all
EJM

There are those clear hood/bumper protective coats that will protect against rock chips. As for protecting the paint on the rest of your car I think if you just keep it waxed it should resist scratches and such fairly well.

mitsu paint job=****. the only way to preserve that bad boy is to get a good paint job done or make a force field around your car.

I have a diamond white RA. The dealership I bought it from put a protective coat on it or so they said. I have gotten a couple of minor scratches on the car and I dunno if it was the protective coat or what but I just scrubbed the scratches right off. Also meguier's wax works extremely well to remove scratches and to keep the car looking beautiful.

This is the second metallic flake grey car that i have owned and it is a ***** keeping rock chips hidden. i hate the thought of getting a bra for the front end, but after getting a dozwn or more chips, i am considering it. Meguires wax does a great job for any minor scratches!
