The thing is, I want to come out a winner with this one. I don't want to pay to have my car look how it already look. I like silver if I had to keep it stock, but why not spice it up if I end up having the opportunity. Which I will if I can get a high estimate etc. Not necessarily something with reflective paint that will cost 6+ grand, but maybe a flat base color. Blue? Even if I were to get plain blue or blue by you I'd have the only RA in the states that is blue so just that factor alone will make my RalliArt unique.
the sole reason I said a pearl blue (with metal flakes) is that 1: it tends to look a little more shiny and 2: it doesn't fade as easy (it's what your silver currently is....all mitsu paints have the metal flecks in them...I wasn't talking about the big flecks if thats what you thought I meant that look like mirrors..these are small and just add reflectivity a little...like a pearl..)

it will cost way more than 1k to get a car painted, unless you are only getting the outside painted, but if you are getting everything that would be noticed (ie. door jambs, under trunk/hood etc) it will cost closer to 2 probably

most definitely correct....1k is way under shooting the price...look more like 3k or possibly more if you want a good job done..

Hellacious... that's more of an EVO blue. I'm not sure if you were going for the STI style chop of blue but that's the EVO blue and I personally like it

The standard Lancer blue is a great looking color but the insurance fraud part of the idea isn't nearly as good as the idea of a Lancer blue RA.

Called the Mitsubishi Dealership down here in Sacramento to see what body shop they go through and they gave me a # to call for a well known body shop here in Sacramento. Called them up, asked them about the EVO blue and told him what car I had and gave him a briefing about the damage I had on my RalliArt. He said to have my car painted factory evo blue "blue by you" and have it looking like it came fresh off the lot that color I'd be looking around 3000-4000 dollars. He has to see the body damage to be 100% sure on the total cost. I think I'm going to do it. Hopefully.

the silver ones do... maybe I might just keep the silver paint and have it fixed but add a more pearlish color to it? Like a candy pearl or something...
