R/A with VR-X badges all over the world.

Yes, they still use VR-X badging on Lancers as we speak.

In Japan where I come from (Asia), it depends as to what region you buy it from and you may either get a VR-X badge or a MX-Touring badge. The cars are also sport-tuned by Ralliart. Or they may even call it VR-X/ MX-Touring Ralliart version.

Check out the new Recaro seats for the "Ralliart" too.

I'll post some pics to follow soon. Or go the Mitsu website for Japan or Australia.

FYI: this is my fourth Lancer, had a Galant too, and mom and dad back home drives him and hers Monteros (Pajeros).

Home-chopped tubes with K&N

My buddy and I designed it seing more and more set-ups in Japan are treating their intakes as flutes for better sound tone, also importantly considering the combined filter surface space of two smaller filters compared to a single filter system. How I wish you could hear my intake and feel the power it delivers. Good enough for a normally aspirated engine set-up.

Well, Evos are not available here in Canada where I migrated to. Also please check out the Canadian forum for more rides in this side of the border.

Thumbs up

Man, this intake setup is a darn great idea! You shouldn't have posted pics of it! You should sell plans for it!!!

Personnaly, I like the rims and the spoiler... but the things that catched my eyes the most are those front grills. I'm in the process of making myself some front grills and yours look just like I imagined... thanks for the inspiration!

Lightbulb

BTW: I was just thinking that if you had a well placed hood scoop you'd take in an interesting volume of cold air through those filters... just my 2 cents...

My home-made heat shield

Thanks for the advice! My buddy has one w the scoop (functional), but not for me. Just to add, check out my other pictures with my home-made heatshield connected to my factory air scoop. I took it out for better viewing on the pictures, but I put it on all the time for better performance.

Again, not here to brag but just to share ideas and positive thoughts.

Later!

if you could post instructions on how you made that intake, it would probably be much appreciated to many of the users on this site. Keep up the good work, Jing!
