I also had to cut my a/m adaptor from the stock box to accomodate the stock sensor.
I installed a double intake tube, then fitted it w k&n filters.
I decided to make a heat shield from plexi glass wrapped w a/c duct insulation.
Instead of mounting it on the filters, I mounted it w the stock air duct by boring a hole on the heat shield. I really wanted the stock air duct to still be functional when I'm driving the car.
I put a thermometer in the beginning of my experiment to prove to my mechanic that it decreased hot air on that portion of my engine room. Yup. It did! It works! But we know not as good as cold air intakes. Well, good enough for me.
For show, I remove my home-made heat shield (still have to perfect this in a presentable way although it is really functional). But in actual, I always have it on.
I hope this helped.

those are some sick mods you did devil...personally, i don't like red cars all too much, BUT you are starting to change my mind...as with everyone else, have say that those white rims are DAMN sexy! my two cents to you, is the spoiler, i keep staring at it, but i just can't like it, it's mainly the colour, reminds me of aluminum spoilers, if you painted the sides red, i can imagine that is one SICK ride... keep up the good work man

Bugoy!!! Nice grill man, also nice intake. I wonder how you made that very nice looking intake. Did anyone help you???
