Sub Question
I have a 5 speed Ralliart with the sun and sound, and I just recently added an additional sub and amp to the trunk. I was wondering if anyone has done anything to help with the rattle that comes with the additional bass, it sounds amazing in the car, but kida crappy outside? I know I can always dynamat the trunk, but was wondering if anyone has found any other solutions? Thanks for the input
!
what kind of amp/sub did you get? And how did you hook it up to the rest of the system? Thru speaker-level inputs?
Dynamat is probably your best bet....check the rear license plate too...that could be a source of rattles.

Most of the time its the license plate. pull it off and see if it still does it, if not, get something to isolate it (some kind of thin rubber, etc..). Other than that, it might be your trunk lid springs. If its those, you can split some fuel line and cover them.
Hope that helps, good luck!

I put in a 10inch Coustic CF1044 carbon fiber cone Sub, with an Alpine Mrp M350 mono block Amp, I had it wired up through speaker level inputs initially, but this week I added an aftermarket Deck, a Pioneer p7600, I wanted to keep the stock infinity amp, so I got the adaptor from Soundgate... It sounds 10 times better with an aftermarket deck instead of through high level inputs. But now there is a bit of a rattle, not the liense plate....
I am very pleased with it so far.... its just a little guy but boy does it sure pound, very high quality sound... I wanted just a bit more punch out of my sun and sound, and this does it perfectly... but It can be a lot more punch if I want it.

I am still running them all through the Factory amp, but they seem to sound very loud and very clear, it may also be that I can now have more control over them with my new deck. It seems to sound way better in there though and it sounded pretty good before.
Sorry to badger you with 100 questions (lol), but did you have to do any extra work to get the head unit in? Somebody told me if you take out the stock head unit and put something else in, you would have to relocate something....just wondering if that was indeed the case. Thanks though, man...I appreciate it!
No, I put in an aftermarket deck the first day I got it, and it took me all of 15-20 minutes to switch the decks. You just take the runners off of the stock deck and screw them onto the new deck.
No man i didn't have to relocate anything, it was a really simple install after I had the right part... The only trouble I had was with the casing that frames the deck in, on the dash, it wouldn't fit, so i had to be creative.
I just put 2 pioneer impp 12's, in a sealed box in my trunk. the main thing that i have rattling is the back dash. when the bass hits i can see the back dash actually shaking. i'm hoping that dynamat will take care of that problem.
