i donno about being better than starbucks... but they are pretty good. i dont even need customer service and they still offer me some help. just like my psychiatrist. lmao jk. from the look of things everything is well with RRM...prices are high for things but they do specialize in lancer products and they are well R&D developed. kud.s

How about instead of rrm releasing the info on their ecu control, they simply offer their 'turbod piggyback' to customers as a separate piece. There's a few of us sitting around with thumbs up our a$$es who can't afford to drop 3 grand canadian on a standalone. I say to rrm, sell the kit to people who don't have the means to make their own (and that is a large percentage of the population, even evom members) and help out us guys who already have kits that work perfectly, minus the one piece.

I'm thinking it would be in rrms best interest to do this in order to protect their secretive engineering. Think about it, there's a lot of computer geniuses in the world. its only a matter of time before one of them turbos an RA and figures their own way of remapping fuel and timing. I happen to know one guy that specificly deals with ecu's, and i'm sure it wouldnt be hard for this guy to do what rrm did.

my 2 cents...

Sorry Turboguy; if you look at it from a business stand point... we put a lot of money into those units... A LOT... and we haven't even made our money back yet... also its the same as the piggybacks. we have never released software for them, and we don't sell stage 2 piggybacks to just anyone.

for your info RRM...

canada's RA ECU is way different from the USA ECU and is much harder to tune, essential speed has a turbo kit for the RA using essentially the same thing as the split second ecu also controlling 2 extra injectors and its not that hard to do. Its just you cant use a simple piggy back off the shelf for other cars... emaange does work and will control timming on the 4g69... also you can change duty cycle with it.

still in my mind microtech all the way full standalone. gonna pop that in prolly htis weekend

THanks
Tory

there is just no way we will release the info on the piggybacks or sell them as individual units, if u want one, then pay 4200 for one.
