Fuel Management System
Fuel Management System
I am currently driving a Turbo Ralliart. the problem I am having is with the fuel system. crusing at around 120 km/h, my egt is reading at 1300 Degrees Farenheit, which my friend told me I was running to lean. When one of my friends took a look at my fuel system, there was nothing done to it other then an evo pump. I was wondering what all the other turbo lancer ralliarts are using as a fuel system, and around how much does it cost. I know that one of the problems with the ralliarts is that the fule system is a returnless system. Does this mean we can only have standalone ECUs? Any ideas?
I have been looking at the standalone systems, and was wondering, what is the difference between standalone ecu and piggyback? I was looking at the greddy emanage ultimage. Is that any good for a fuel management system? If a standalone ecu is the way togo, how is the PowerFC by apexi?
Give a a call to split second. They will have a setup for you for low $$. You can even use an programable aditional injector controller and injector that will run you about $400 for the whole deal thats good for 300whp.
RPW is doing piggy back Haltech and greddy emanage systems right now.
You could use a haltech interecptor package, plumb in a 5th injector and have fuel and ignition control which woudl work nicely with teh vehicle.
Or you could use the emanage (I need to confirm this though still wiring it up) and then go for a set of four larger injectors (RPW has some 275 or 390cc drop in replacement units) which woudl allow the emanage to adjust for and you woudl have full control over fuel and igntion under proper boost conditions.
Word of warning - turbo and cheap DYI fuel systems = BLOWN MOTOR.
Save your hassles in the long run, put a good system on it straight away and that way you won't have a problem later. May cost more initially but far cheaper than the alternative.
