RRM kits come preset for 7psi, our cars can handle 13psi on stock internals but not reccomended, if you go forged pistons and rods you should be able to handle 10-12psi but I would talk to Rob from RRM and let him fill you in on numbers.

Yeah, stock boost is 7psi, verified by my boost gauge.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only way to SAFELY turn up the boost without detonation on our setup is to add a meth kit. I think our compression ratio is too high so you need to increase the octane, thus meth/alky.

you can add a manual boost controller to our kits off of the wastegate, but I wouldn't reccomend that unless you do your homework, again I would consult Rob at RRM as he knows his kits and what set ups work and don't work, or contact a local performance shop, they may not know the kit but can help a bit.

RRM turbo kit is preset to 7 psi. But if you have a large exhaust system (2.5 in or bigger) your boost may creep up a bit. With my Turbo, with the regular fuel map tuned to 7psi, hits 9.5 psi . I think its cuz of my 2.5 catback exhaust and the RRM intake manifold. I asked Rock and he said that could be it. It runs safe tho, and i aint complaining bout the extra boost

and the hole fact about getting forged engine internals and cranking up the boost. that is only half true. Boost and Fuel go hand and hand. Like Rock said, BOOST SAFELY!!! (ya jabronie) It is very possible to blow up a 900 dollar piston. If you buy the pistons, just ask rob for a fuel map thats safe to run the extra boost. Dont just throw in the piston and up the boost w/ no fuel managment, or you'll be buying a new motor, just like me.

^^So you're saying exhaust system, IM, ported head and all of that will actually give you more boost..?

Sorry me+turbo=

Boost is controlled by the wastegate, which then dumps to the exhaust. Just like with a NA car, any time you do power mods to a turbo'd Ralliart, it'd be in your best interest to get it retuned.

Its hard to explain... it doesnt EXACTLY raise your boost... somebody correct me if im wrong, but my understanding of it is your Turbo of course runs off your exhaust, if you have a bigger exhaust, than the turbo gets rid of the exhaust gasses quicker, which allows it to spool up more. Thus giving me that spike in boost. its not a constant 9.5 PSI im running... it shots up to 7ish, than the more i beat on the car, it slightly goes up to 9.5, once i shift it goes to 7, and as it climbs rpms it goes up slightly.

having a bigger exhaust and ported intake is like having bigger holes. You can fit more in the bigger holes, just takes a little longer to fill it... i guess.... if that makes sense???

I think you've pretty much got it. The turbo builds up momentum faster than the wastegate reacts, causing a brief spike.

well i dont need a new piggy, im just gonna need to get my piggy reflashed. instead of taking it to a tuner who has no experience with a ralliart, i'd rather have RRM send me a new tuned piggy, and i put that new one in, and send them back my old one.......... or WHATEVER they want to do. just cant afford to take it to a tuner, and i do nt have the knowledge to tweek my own piggyback

reducing knock...
lower the boost (boo)
Higher octance gas. (yay)
Meth/alk injection (okay...)
water injection (yay)

a good way to find this kind of info is on forums for DSMs, like dsmtuners.com ot dsmtalk.com. those guys know turbo systems.
