Question Need help understanding turbo setup

I am new to the 2.4L MIVEC and have reviewed the newbie thread countless times with little help (random repeating of common knowledge) . Wanting to do a sleeper/daily but not to much $$$ where people are saying go buy an EVO (not an option now). So what all needs to be replaced when turbo'ing + force induction on an 04 RA (fuel rails, clutch etc.) I'm stuck in 4G63 mode and know nothing about these turbo's. I know RRM makes from what I hear a great kit but like a 4G63 turbo system can a bigger turbo be bought later like a stage 1-3 set up (Ex. a 16G to a garrett T4)? Finally is there a thread that lists all the need to know (prime PSI or full set up for turbos, not common RA info) or a person I can go 1-1 with for help (if so who is the best)?
I'm lost and need a hand to hold for guidance

have you searched through the turbo forum at all? there is a search button, and the advanced search functions are helpful in narrowing your search.

search for posts by these guys
turbo tech pr (I believe this gentleman is deceased )
thunder rush
pr mivec
modern racer

if you contact anyone be sure to have ALL the basics in your head. there is a wealth of information regarding a basic turbo kit on here already, you questions need to be specific because we have already discussed this stuff at length. if you are starting with little knowledge on turbo kits then you have a long way to go, hand holding is hard to come by when everyone else has done the legwork for themselves

I've been really nice myself, but you have to stop posting new threads all the time, you got like 4 threads going right now. I'm always willing to help but do some homework first.

Sorry for posting a crap load of threads I'm new to the community and have used others not as knowledgeable nor professional as everyone here so I post new threads to get attention I guess, so no more posting and ALOT more in depth research before I open my dumb mouth...

And I failed at the 4G63 turbo set up I took it to a shop to build so turbo systems are still fairly new I just played with it for a bit then got confused and sold it (trying to start fresh on a car I'm gonna own for a long time to come) yet again retard playing with something shiny.

I appreciate everyones help even when they know I'm going about this ALL wrong. Thanks for not ragging on me to hard. last new thread for A LONG TIME. Again sorry.

just bump older related threads if you have questions. we are happy to help, and this particular subforum of evom is probably the strictest with the BS and repeated threads. the RA owners try to keep this forum that way. but that's also one reason you haven't been completely flamed to death: the mods would be real quick to reign us in anyway so we don't bother I've been warned for calling someone a moron(or maybe it was for calling them stupid ) in this forum

I've told him this a few times, to search. Look at the date I started, and the number of posts, that's the kind of research I like to do. But to help out the question, that turbo setup of RRM's doesn't require anything else, although you might want a different clutch, as your current one probably won't last all that long.

^yeah, he could probably order the turbo kit and the rrm clutch at the same time and just knock it out at once.

On that note I've been a daily browser of evom since a year before my official join date, when I was looking into buying an OZ cause the RA didn't exist. Look at my # of posts, I've become alot more active lately b/c I feel that I have enough knowledge now that I can be an asset on here. Also, I've read alot of the stuff older users, who no longer frequent these forums have posted.

As for your question, the best place to look for infor is within the RA forums. If that fails you, you can contact Rob at RRM, he's one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to Turboed RAs. Also, if you have any specific questions, just ask and someone on here will help!

IF YOU DO CALL ROB... make sure you know what you're talking about. Rob is a very busy guy. He's always happy to help, but I'm sure he doesn't want to be answering n00b questions. RRM is here to help by making our cars perform to their extent.
