I typically only take my baby out on the weekends.
Well yest i seem to have run into a prob.
The car has been running flawlessly for about a year now without any problems.(cept for dumb crap, lose couplers, ect ect)
I drove it about 5mi with no boost an the car ran fine.
When i made a turn i punched the gas a little to get some boost. The car felt like it bogged down with no boost at all an my wideband read real rich an i took my foot off the gas....ok so then i played with it a little. I punched the gas a couple of times an i seen my boost wouldn't go over 0 psi an the fuel was dumping in makin the car flood.
When i came to a stop the car died. But yet it started right back up.
I stopped at a point an i was immediately checkin my IC pipes an hoses. (which was my first initial diagnosis.) None loose or off.... Car started right up but wouldn't let me get over 3k rpms(roughly where the 5th injector kicks in) or push the gas very far (throttle control sensor that i tapped on the piggy)
So i basically limped her home keepin a eye on the wideband.
Called rrm an i was told it was for sure a hose or IC pipe off.
Only thing that gets me about that is that i had that prob before(my own fault) an what the car would do in that case is that when unmetered air gets in past the MAF the car would go into limp mode, run like crap an die. It is not the case here. The car runs fine untill i boost an the 5th injector kicks in basically flooding the car.
I didnt have a lot of time to diagnose the prob cause i had to work. ill have more time to mess with it next weekend.
Any sugg would be helpful.

That very well could be worst case scenario..

Sometimes hoses pop off but not all the way. I've seen exact the symptoms as yours and a hose was just barely off it sounded like the blow off valve would open any time there was boost.

Turns out the coupler on the right side of the IC had a rip in it on the underside that followed the ring that tightens it at the IC then goes away from it about an inch. Very difficult to spot considering how low my car is.
Its gotta be that. Im guessin the pressurized air is blowing out there an it must have made the rip bigger an bigger.
I knew it had to be something stupid as usual
Go figure...nothing is open today...lol
Thanks for the help guys

Nothing like a little scare to end the week, lol. I had the same problem but with my intake, was getting crap MPG, engine hesitation and a bunch of problems. Makes u wonder how can something so small, mess up that big of a deal

Good, you where one of the few that hasn't had much problems at all with the turbo kits. Originally Posted by GearDownSon

I think there is quite a few that haven't had problems, there's alot of people with the kit who don't frequent the site.Originally Posted by SSP-Ralliart

stupid things like that scare me about a turbo lol. or just even big problems that I dont want to deal with, but hopefully all will be good
Good to see thought that all the problems are going away and everything is running right

Cow town, is right, there are a lot of people who run the turbo kit with minimal issues, and most are install related or wear & tear from abuse. I have been luckly with my kit and the problems I had were fairly straight forward fixes. I don't mind working on my car and small issues that I can handle don't bother me. Its all part of the modding habit we are addicted too.
If you don't want issues or to have to be aware of your cars condition on an ongoing basis don't modify anything.

^ you could still turbo and be that much faster but I just wanna see how much more you can take time off your 1/4 mile runs

The pros have definitely outdone the cons. An it have made me a smarter person when it comes to cars.

Actually i didnt hear a thing. I think the rip in the coupler has been there for a while now. Ive noticed in the last couple of months i run a lit rich when i boost. Im thinkin air has been escaping therefore i run rich. I think at this time the rip has finally gotten big enough to let all the pressure escape an i jus flooded it out.Originally Posted by cfdfireman1
That had to make a hell of a sound when that hose opened up.
