Upgrading injectors the WRX way
Ok this may be Slightly off topic, but still in the same category. so i'm going to ask it, because it will give additional info to this thread, regaurding upgrading our fuel system....
It's a known fact that EVO8 fuel rails fit our ralliarts.. I have 2 questions.
1. Do the STOCK evo 8 fuel rails fit our car? Or after market ones?
2. With this fuel rail upgrade, will the WRX injectors work and fit well???????
Reason i ask this is because I remember somebody from PR with a turbo ralliart using an evo 8 fuelrail, Just wondering which kind. I searched for 5 minutes or less and couldnt find it lol. LAZY.
thanks for the help

I looked at the EVO fuel rail and it did not look like it would fit.
You don't need a fuel rail unless you're going to be pushing somewhere above 450hp. There is nothing wrong with the stock unit. I'll dig up the spacers and see if I can put together a package for it. I think the WRX injectors would be good because I think they will plug in where I replaced the plugs on Brent's turbo car. With the spacers the injectors just dropped right in.

the best part is that you can use that fuel rail to connect the fuel regulator and the fuel return line
This is awesome to know. thanks so much for the help... I'm guessing the AMS evo8/evo9 fuel rail will work right? basically the same part?
sorry to ask N00B questions but i dont want to **** the money away and not use the part. thanks for the help...

yes it is the same one, but remember you will need to replace the stock fuel pump, because the stock ones does not use return lines
I looked at what RPW posted about the ralliarts fuel system and said that there are flat spots on low rpm during acceleration. thay said upgrading the fuel rail will give 10tq. It feels like the car takes of more easier on first gear and second.
RalliartPro, I'd be interested to see dyno sheets on that one. I have a 180whp NA car and a 270whp turbo car here. Both are on stock fuel rails and neither one is having fuel problems. Unforuntately fuel rails like cam gear are sold a lot but seldom do they make any difference in performance.
Thats what rpw posted besides you won't see it on a dyno it's when rolling off from 0. I guess the only way to prove it is to look at fuel pressure when doing so. I just try to find out as much as I can for our cars for any type of improvement and beleive that they might work, this is the way of the street performer.
I've done datalogs on similar cars with no drop in fuel pressure. I haven't done a ralliart but there isn't a lot of point because the stock fuel system has already proven to be up to the task.
