Ok, so i was driving home the other day and my car hit limp mode.. So i pulled over for a bit and let it reseet... it was fine driving home and everything was well, until the next day i went to drive it and it couldn't hold a contant speed, i alway would have to gain speed for it to run without "missing" in a sense, it jerked and shuttered horriblely. But now it does that constantly, i cant have the car under any load, at all.. it idles fine but will not run(backfires, shutters, misses, you name it) but i have replaced spark plugs, checked fuel pump/filter, and checked all ic piping.

And it still runs the same, horrible. PLEASE ANY help would be greatly appreciated

what's your setup like? do you have a log?

and yeah, if it's in limp mode there's gotta be codes...

 

Sounds similar to what happened to me when my Accelerator Position Sensor went out. But yea there should be a check engine light coming on. Go pull the code and that will give everyone a better idea of what is going on.

i should off went for codes first... it was maf sensor.. the wire going into the plug was broken.. i fixed write and an running like a champ.. but I'm tuned with piggyback from rrm

 

gross...are you logging knock? or does it just run super rich?

 

Running super rich.. But since i fixed the maf its not doing to bad, it only runs rich at idle(reving) but otherwise running like a charm, better then before the maf fix, so im thinking it had a bad connection before

 

you should really look into the 4 injector and reflash upgrade...but otherwise i'm glad she's still kickin'...

do you have any dyno time, or 1/4 mile ET's?

 

don't have any Dynos or 1/4 mile time. I'm afraid to take out to the teach i don't want to blow it up.. but i can tell you it will beat a 2011wrx stock..

but i really would like to get the 5th injector out and got with 4 bigger ones, but i have not the slightest clue on how to tune it, i have been trying to get to learn but there isn't much on the internet to learn how..i haven't been trying hard to learn really no time but i plan on getting to it some day

 

If your serious the reflash is the way to go although it will take some more coin it is better overall.

In the mean time post up some pictures of the ride.
