anywhere you find an AK-47 in combat, you'll find SKS's and Mosin Nagants...

I am throwing a code now though: P0300 Random misfire. If I'm WOT it starts to sputter at 5000 rpm and wont exceed 5500. If I'm shy or less than 5000 rpm, it'll accelerate and boost past it to red-line. Only at WOT does it fail.

I received new plugs today, and didn't waste any time putting them in. I then hit the road for a test drive:

Stopped at a stoplight, I downshifted into 1st. As soon as I got the go-ahead with the green, I put the pedal to the metal and with the front tires smoking, the rpms quickly red-lined without hesitation...this was good. Popping it into 2nd, and as the tires continued to spin, the tach screamed past the 5000 rpm mark and red-lined at 7200 rpms...this was also good. Approaching 70 mph too quickly, and frantically realizing that a cop frequently sits over on the right in the grass at this point, I frantically slowed down and praise God he wasn't there this time, but my test was over and I'm fairly convinced the problem is solved. Josh (bakuro) guessed correctly by suggesting that a fouled plug may be the culprit and was causing the problem.

I am currently at McDonald's using their wifi and came here to drop hackish a note to get online with me to figure out why this laptop is having problems accepting the Tactrix drivers. This was so that I could data-log and hopefully solve the misfire problem with a adjustment to the tune, but, it looks like that won't be necessary after all...although, I do need to find him to solve the driver issue for future data-logging.

One down, two to go...the parasitic drain, and the AEM Boost gauge malfunction. As stated up-thread, I ordered a re-manufactured ETAC and that should arrive tomorrow. We'll see if this solves the power drain issue.

According to a Google search, the gauge problem is frequently the brass, inline pressure sender. I have still to contact AEM.
