i suggest investing a few bucks in some stainless steel bolts though if you're going to be taking it on and off, but yes it is a bolt on and very easy to install

The general concensus is that you get maybe 3hp out of the axle-back. It's really just for the sound.

Sound & look!!! It really fills that opening in rear bumper A LOT better than stock... That's the MAIN reason I got it!!!

My friend has the axel back and he says the sound is nice, like it's not too loud when you're at idle, but it sounds really nice when you step on it. And his car was an automatic... Go for it, i will when i get the cash...

Definitely not too loud... Like this guy said it, it sounds great at idle!!!
On the highway it's got some major *****... But if you're driving into the parking lot for work it's not like you're setting off alarms (but that depends how fast you travel through the parking lot)

Anyway, it's like stock, just amplified a bit, a little more growl to it!!!

I've gone for a ride in sp0rk's car, he's got the axleback. Sounds nice, it's deep, not raspy, and not too loud. Very nice sound to it.

Yeah, downpipe adds more though...
I've heard a few people that have felt the need to get a silencer because they weren't all about how loud it was...
Without a downpipe I don't think it'll be setting off as many alarms!!
