Unhappy CEL light after installin CAI.

I just install my rrm cai 2 days ago. And when i was driving home today i noticed that the cel light stayed on when i started the car. I dont know alot about engines so if anyone could tell me if this could've been caused by the cai, or if it could be install correctly or i dont know what. Although the car is running great since i install it even today thats why i cant understand what could be wrong. Please help me out i dont like that cel light.

Check the sensor that is attached to the CAI, chances are its loose.

After you have checked all the senors, still doesnt work, disconnect the battery. Wait a few secs. and reconnect. That should fix the problem if the senors arent loose. I had the same problem with my SRT4. Found out that I had to reset the computer. But I havent heard of anybody else having a problem with the CAI on their Ralliart. Oh well, try it!!

^ Did you let the engine run for about 10-15 min? Do that, then turn the car off. wait a few secs.. turn it back on..
You should only have to do this once. Happened to me when I installed mine, and it never trips it all.
Also maybe your MAS isnt screwed in or attachted tight enough..

two things: check the MAF sensor to make sure it's securely fastened, and then reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a minute or so. Once that's done the ECU will re-baseline itself based upon the flow from the CAI, and your CEL should go away.

check for vacuum leaks as well. mafs and vacuum leaks are the biggest thing when it comes to cai/sri. agree with above too...diconnect the negative end of your battery for about ten minutes. reconnect and start car. it will run like *** for a while. drive around for about 30 minutes or so. this should help. your car may idle low for a few days but you'll get use to it or it should fix itself. but make sure your mafs is connected well and tight. also check the vacuum line from the valve cover...this has to be hooked up tight as well. hope this helps.

cheers!

What was the problem, or did it just go away on its own?

Well I checked all the sensors and they all looked fine. So then I disconnected the negative side of the battery and it went off. And today after a week of driving it just fine the CEL came on again . So I think Im going to have the car checked at an electro-mechanic shop near home.
