they have had the drop in filter for a while now. I have seen it since early summer while at HIN and they had it in their catalog then. I talked to them and they said they would be working on a kit possibly for the RA though

 

its called an 'interfooler'. very popular with the 'im a lame ricer' crowd. almost as popular as the electronic BOV speaker system

Every Lancer uses the EXACT same air intake system and filter, at least when they're stock.

 

They indeed do make a K&N drop in filter for the RA.. in fact i have it in a box in my garage... I use it when i gotta reinstall the airbox whenever i bring it back to the dealer..

Gross. I saw one of these on a Civic hatch the other day at work. I could only see half of a car, and I noticed what looked like an intercooler. I went for a better look, and I didn't see an intercooler pipe going up the other side. Lame.

 

yeah you see them around all the time, makes ya look twice though most of the time to make sure it isn't what you think it is.

thanks for the info on the k&n. figured they had one. i wanted to use the computer system at pep boys (cause i've worked there for 7 years) but they wouldn't let me...i'll check on it again.
