Took the RA to the track

It ran 15.3 @91.1 mph with 2.4 60'. Yes 2.4 sux but I did manage a 2.3 and couldnt find second gear both times. The car is still completely stock, all I did was remove the donut and jack from the trunk. I ran off the bottle but next time I will be spraying so I'll keep you guys updated. I'm guessing with intake, full exhaust from RRM, some good tires, and the 50 shot, the car will be doing 14.0 all day. Guys just FYI, second gear is a ***** to get in at high RPM!!! I can get all the details from the time slip if anyone is interested.

With a 2.0 or 2.1 sixty, you'd have been in the 14's stock - not bad! Looking forward to seeing your results on the spray next time. Beg borrow or steal a set of drag radials - you're gonna need 'em!

How people get 2.0 sixty is beyond me. I tried everything and could only muster a 2.3.. but I think the revs were higher that time so thats why I couldnt find second. I think I'm gonna change out the trans fluid to something a little more race inspired.

I have to check to make sure...but I think Motortrend got the same 60' time as you in the Feb comparo test - so not bad. I don't think you can get much better with the crapola tires we have.

I should have let out some tire pressure for the first run I'm sure it would have done better. After the first run the track went to crap, were about 100 import street cars there dragging dirt and air conditioner sweat onto the track. I have the Potenza's btw.

air conditioner sweat in January. Go ahead...rub it in.... .....you live in a warmer climate while most of us are freezing.....especially up in Canada!

If you want to find 2nd, you need to get at least a firmer front motor mount and then redo the entire shifter system: go to a short shifter, replace shifter base bushings and both underhood bushings. You'll be shifting crisper and faster all day in every gear!

very nice times, yeah... if you get that 60 down, ull see high 14's. Motortrend mag mustard a 14.9 @ 92mph I believe. Some RA owner here did a 15.0 w/ just an intake and short shifter and on stock tires.
