absolutely. i replaced all the shifter components, and what a difference.. I love it.

I checked the article...it wasn't a 60' time, but rather a 0-30 mph time (2.4 sec).

Ok, after some testing today I figured out that if the wheels are spinning in first gear and you try to shift to second you can forget it. You have to launch this car around 2500-3000 rpm and dont sidestep the pedal. Unless you are on slicks/DRs and you launch higher than that or sidestep it, you wont ever get it to second gear. I pulled a 2.3 60' twice but couldnt engage second gear either time. Only after I launched at lower RPM without spinning did I finally get it to shift but then had a 2.4.

I agree with the motor mount statement. This motor is so damn torquey it likes to shift when the tires are spinning and that seems to throw off the shifting just enough to screw you up. I have no problems with the throw distance or any of that, but I gaurantee the motor mount stiffening would fix the problem and would result in a 2.2 or better on stock tires. If you could pull a 2.0 in this car on stock trim I know you would be looking at 14.7-14.8. Would be extremely hard to get a 60 like that on our tires though I'm afraid. Mine has Potenzas and they do ok with 20 psi and a nasty burnout.. but you guys with the BFG's or whatever the ****ty ones are, it'll never happen.

That's something I would like to know as well but can't find anywhere...I would only assume it would be around low 16's or so...

you shouldnt be doing a burnout with street tires just a chirp to get dirt off since street tries are designed to be run cold at there stickiest not litten on frie froma burnout. but ya tires would help the 60 ft time the most, i dont have a problem getting it into 2nd at all i have a problem sometimes from 2nd into 1st at 7000 rpm hehe but got that down too for this race season.

From 2 to 1 at 7K?! dude, you're mental and are gonna eff your engine... unless there's some crazy metric to SAE conversion your applying to your RPM figures....

Doesnt matter what kind of tires you have, if you heat them up they will get softer and stickier. Try launching your car at 4000 rpm in first gear and shifting to second right before redline. If your tires are spinning you will never do it.
I hope that 2nd to 1st at 7000 statement was a typo.

^lol you dont even know what you are talking about. street tires are different from drag slick lol. you heat up slicks, not street tires.
