The only downside to an Integra is the Torque. Looking at the stock specs, i believe they have 190-200 hp's, but a mere 130-140 torque. i'm not saying thats not alot of torque, but most cars seem to keep those numbers relatively close not +/- 60.

Although it can be a fast car, you have to hit high HIGH RPM's to make it as affective. I'm not in any way shape or form ripping on the tegra, it's a good car, and it's a hell of an accomplishment to beat it. It just needs a lil more torque to make it a real worthy opponent.

similar to lots of honda and vtec engines. they are torqueless wonders. the HP can go through the roof /w little torque, but they can rev soooo high, even in vtec range, that it makes up for it. its an odd setup and i think the mivec takes advantage of the best of both worlds =)

Im not a fan ov Vtecs sense I got my Ralliart. Ive only started my honda once sense I got my ralliart. though its only been a week. But it was only to move it outta my RA's parking spot I did an Engine swap and ecu swap in my honda and it wasn't beating mini vans. though I messed everything up with putting a JDM engine in that didn't have the same hookup for MAP sensors. big mstake car runns like hell. anyone want so POS honda hatchback? has brand new 17's and two engines. One of them has to run right after they are reassembled

The 200 HP 'tegra is not a GSR. It's an ITR. You'll know it when you go against one.

On the internet, there are a lot of newbies with misidentification problems, because they don't have the experience of driving other cars.

Example: a SC'ed civic DX blowing away a Z06 with ease. see, how much cool points from misidentification?

It's the same with 1/4 mile times. 90% of all Newbies take R/T off their ETA, because it looks better than actual is.

Understandably, i didn't intend to demean the integra in any way shape or form. I was just stating they have high Hp's and crappy torque numbers, now the RSX is a little better but they still need help in the Torque area.

took my RA to the so called "track" agen. Raced my friends 2005 RSX type-s..the new RSX to my opinion is a great car..i like how they restyled it..anyway his mod was a buddyclub spec exhaust. we both downshifted at to third at the same time..i expected him to pull away cuz of the horsepower that thing has (210 hp)..but i was ryt next to him the whole time..we were side by side goin about 80 mph and climbing. finally when i shifted to 4th at about 6200 rpms and he shifted to 4th he started pulling away..so i ended up losing but it was fun..i couldnt believe i was neck and neck with him throughout the whole third gear..he was quite amazed to that i was sticking to him..damn..i love my RA!!

Probably what killed you in that is i think after 3rd in both cars is when the gearing completely runs away. The type-s has 6 gears meaning a closer ratio, as you and i and the rest of the RA board have 5. so the first 3 gears would be a close battle, but his last 3 is where he'll get you. :-D

Our first gear puts much more torque to the ground in 1st gear. And the difference in 2nd gear is negligable. In third gear the RSX has the edge, but not all drivers are equal.

went back out tonight. First race was against a friend's For Slocus (focus, duh) hatch. anyway, had a bad run. .702 reaction time (gasp!), 2.528 60'. I launched at 3k RPM on stockers at 18lbs. 6.973 330' 10.590 1/8 @ 68.70mph. didnt record my 1000' (never does in the right lane...) and a 16.244 1/4 @ 87.33mph. He had a .342 reaction time and I STILL beat him at the 1/4 by .0676. His overall time without considering reaction was 16.671 @ 83.49mph. PWN3d!

Second race was against a brand new mustang GT v8. needless to say, stomped me, but only by 1.3sec =). Anyway, i launched at 2400RPM this time. Worked much better! I had a 2.379 60' and a 6.716 330'. My 1/8 was 10.257 @ 69.84mph. My 1000' was 13.297 and the 1/4 was 15.893 @ 87.08mph. YIPPIE IM IN THE 15SECOND CLUB! lol! My goal is to be outa of the 15 second club and into the 14's (all motor) before I fill up my track card and get a free adminssion =) I hope to do this /wout any new mods except maybe tires. If anyone cares, the stang did a 14.434 @ 97.76. ***r =)

I also saw the guy from scionspeed.com run a 12.52 second 1/4 /w his turbo'd tC at 18lbs! all on stock internals! and its his daily driver! that thing was sweet! I found him at a gas station on the way home and talked abit. he wants to do some RA work and I might stop by the shop soon. He showed me his dyno charts from a fea days ago. It peaks around 4k rpm and their VVT doesnt do much like the MIVEC. its a bit late, but still nice. redline is about the same. we def got a bit better platform to work with, but not by much =)

I don't know what our defferences are in elevation but my completely stock car ran 15.3 @ 91.1mph.. that was on 2.4 60'. Where are you shifting at? How much gas was in the car and was the spare and jack in the trunk? I ran 15.3 with 44psi in the tires also =/ Could be the track I guess. Nice runs though!

You can always run with some toulene to bump your octane up. Don't go crazy with it and it shouldn't screw up anything internally or mess with your cat. I still think you can break into the 14's with a set of drag radials. Spinnin' aint winnin'

After reading this thread a couple days ago it got me pump to see what a stock RA could do. So today I went to the drag strip, I've never been to one so I was a bit nervous, also this is my 1st car w/stick. But somehow I manage to go from a 16.1@ 89.42 mph to 15.39 @ 90.73 mph with a 60ft of 2.37. My friends didn't beileve me so I had to show them the papers. So I think I did well for my 1st time, planning on going again next week. My car has an rrm CAI, stock tires.
