I'd like to see someone have the ***** to actually go and make headers. Anyone that can make a good set of headers won't have problems finding a donor car.

As for cams, I'd like to see someone get past the MIVEC first.

But yeah, this is good news.

^ha people on the other side of the world have been tuning mivec for awhile...your exhaust mani, isnt that restrictive....but then again some people would buy just cus...

but then again you know everything so you would have know that right.....ever think about maybe they have tested it and it didnt yeild much of a gain...so they would rather not make one, since people would say that it didnt do much anyways?...but you knew that right...

I'm sure they'll have good stuff but shipping and customs is going to make it almost (if not more) then just getting a part custom machined. Even then you have the Unique factor.

rpw has distributors in the US. so 95% of the time there will be no customs fee

We (Ralliarts) have a 4-2-1 header which gives low end torque. I want a 4-1 header that gives high end torque (=more hp). Do they even have cars where you come from?

So, in which case, the headers we have now would probably benefit automatic transmissions as opposed to the 4-1? I figured this, i might add some headers to my lanos just for some low end torque, but it is an automatic. i figure since the automatics usually have you in low rpm band more often than high, it would benefit more.

do you mean the whole transmission, or are you talking headers?

Headers don't affect what tranny you have...

If i wanted to spend about $3000 i could put a manual in my lanos, but thats not a sound investment....

it'll cost a pretty penny but yes you can swap trannies. To be honest, i'm going ot get a shop manual for the ralliart and find how much torque/Hp the complete drivetrain can handle, that way if i mod it i don't wanna pull a paul walker and start having my car fall apart as i race down the 1/4 lol.

just wait till you find a RA totaled where it won't have an effect on the tranny... it should bolt right up, err it will bolt right up i gaurentee it... you'll just need a whole bunch of other items... not just the tranny.

  • 5 Speed Trans (DUH)
  • 5 Speed Bellhousing
  • Trans Mount
  • Axels
  • Pedal Assembly
  • Cluch/Pressure Plate
  • Flywheel
  • Clutch Slave and Master
  • Shifter and Shifter Trim
  • Computer... i can't remember if the auto works with the manual or not.
just an idea of what you'll need. but if you're doing it this way... reinforce it... or tune it with Quiafe.
