I am new to the Lancer Ralliart and I want to know if the 05 Ralliart has an LSD. The reason I ask is because I just bought one about 5 days ago and I tried dumping the clutch at 2500 and it left 2 marks. Don't know if this is normal or not. I hate to sound like a noob but I was just wondering.

 

not at all. it come with open diff. too bad, it should be a good things to put it on our car, and from factory.

 

so can anyone explain the tire marks? I thought it was a fluke but I tried it 6 times and all 6 times it smoked both tires????? hmmmmmmm....wondering now!

Open diff, I'm going to take a stab at this if i'm wrong please correct me guys....

Pretty sure one side will spin then hook then the otherside will spin. Not at the same time though.

 

Not worried about tire marks, just wondering if by some miracle I had an LSD.

cars are mass perduced, no chance of getting a diffrent diff...sorry to break your heart

if the weight on both tire are the same, they will spin both...

diff are open just for turning, It's not because you have to burn stripes that you have a LSD,

TO BE SURE: Jack the front of your car and turn one tire(with gear engaged), you will see the other goes on opposite side...that means you have no LSD....

other way to find out. turn a 90 deg. corder in 1st and smash the gas. THe inside tire will light up on fire. lol this proves your have no lsd. I did this in one of my autox runs. I was in 2nd and there was a sharp turn. I had it to the floor and left a 50ft strip on the course....along with a big smokie

 

Sucky stock tires will do that for ya.

And lots of torque!!!
