Injen CAI

I was looking at the Injen CAI for my automatic. Just wanted to know if anyone has one, how well they work, if there is any possibility of hydro-locking with them.

well i have the injen CAI and its awesome... if you are worried about the rain or water just unhook the extra piping and convert it to short ram. since its a two piece you can do that. but just know that you have to take out the bumper to install it since you have to cut out a small square to fit the filter. but once that is in you can always change it. there is also the AEM Bypass valve and i have that and it fits fine. hope that helps you out any

And then there's that wonderfull little "search" button up at the top right. You would be surprised at the amount of information you can pick up searching through the old posts.

np just reminding you the nice way. Some guys can get pretty nasty about it. Although I have seen on truly hilarious pic about useing the search button. There's a ton of info on these boards, you can find stuff you didn't even know you wanted to know about untill you see it!

i have the AT injen cai. i've gone through rain. i live in florida... so rain shouldn't be a problem for you. unless you whole front end just happens to be submerged. then the cai isnt your only problem is it? (=. CAI is great. the sound is great. the little pick up is great. you can feel a better "nudge" when the gears change.

hudrolock is not a problem. jsut be aware of what you are driving through in rain. Like what was said before don't submerge the front end and you'll be fine. the bypass valve is another thing to do if you are worried. I jsut run my Injen CAI and a short ram.

Used the search button and from what I can see there is no real difference between the SRA and the CAI besides a little more top end with the CAI. I think I will go with the SRA from RRM. It's a little cheaper, and I won't have to worry about water. From what I read it sounds better too. Thanks for the help guys.

there is a difference between cai and sri.. once the engine gets hot you will see the difference.. the sri will suck in all the hot air in the engine bay.. if you don't believe me, go out after a hard run and touch the pipe of the CAI vs. SRI.. the SRI will be hot to the touch
