Also you can put the battery shielding back in too. I didn't like the idea of removing the battery shielding.

Already intalled the Injen CAI. It rocks! The way the car sounds its awesome, the car feels very powerful thru-out the band. The install was easy, no bumper removed, just the panels. I just removed the side panel you are supossed to cut and left the battery shield on.
The only problem I had is that the intructions say it brings 2 "vibra-mount " and it only brought 1. I just used the one in the bottom part next to the filter.
The performance the car gains its worth it. Injen did a great job and the quality is great. I even like how EVERYTHING has the Injen logo engraved someway

If I understand your post correctly, you don't have a rubber bushing on the bottom of the short elbow? There should be a round chunk attached to the "short ram" portion of the intake. If there isn't then you will probably end up pulling the whole thing apart goind down teh highway! A CAI needs more than 2 fixed connections, meaning your throttle body and the lower inner fenderwell, as stabilizers! The best thing that will happen is the silicone boots will pull apart and you'll hear the change in sound, the worst is if it pulls apart and shoots down onto the highway at 65mph.... I don't think that's covered under warranty! Please clarify if you don't have 2 rubber mounts, I worry about crap like this sincew I have an INJEN cai as well!
Just wondering what you guys think of needing a bypass valve. When I installed it the cone is pointing slightly upwards and the place its in is realy inclosed, only looks like water would coming if you removed the fog light or drove and sat in a puddle up to your fog lights, that and the place you cut for the tub, but I cut a circle that would just fit the tub and put some rubber sideing around it so it almost air tight,
