What's the best way to clean the filter? I was thinking about buying another one to use while I'm cleaning the one, but if it can be cleaned and dryed in a short period of time, no need to waste money.

copying the bends is one thing.. actually making a good quality intake is another
trust me.. i been down that road.. first made one myself, then got one of those ebay knockoffs, and then aem intake.. (on my last car) and even if they LOOK the same, nothing compares

Buy a KN Filter cleaner kit. Thats what I used worked great should do it on a sunny day though because you will need to dry it after. Make sure you read the directions well
