Evo 8 Motor
hmmmmmm where would you get motors from? hmmmmmmmmm.
The only way you would get a motor out of a brand new car would be at a junkyard that carries brand new wrecked cars (mostly likely an insurance wreck lot), or from the dealership. Try contacting engineman100 on ebay. He usually has everything. Expect to pay around $5000 to $9000 dollars, maybe more.. depending on the condition the engine is in. Just to give you an idea, a used 4g63 turbo motor from 1995 still costs around 3000 dollars, so that will give you the idea of what an evo engine may cost. Or instead of looking to people online, you could pick up a phonebook and call around you local area to save the 500+ bux it will probably cost to ship it.

oh, and I would hope you get the correct trans to bolt up to it, along with the axles and suspension, awd xfer case, ecu, harnesses, mounts, hoses, etc.. Unless this is just going into an evo with a blown engine..
Used 4G63 6 bolt motors cost abotu 1300 for the entire longblock. If it's a 7 bolt, usually cheaper because of their issues.
However, the 4G63 for our years, look to pay at least 2500 bucks used to about 15K brand new.

Evo Motor For Sale
Well guys,
I have an evo motor for sale. I was going to build it to the max but have not done anything to it. It is a 2003 Evo motor with about 3K miles on it. I will sell the motor, head intake and exhaust for about 5K. (That is what I paid for it)
The only thhings that it does not have on it is the P/S, AC and Alternator. It is in great shape and looks better than my Evo motor with 35K on it.
It has one scratch on the exhaust manifold and I think a chip off the spark plug wire cover.
Let me know if you are interested in it.

) Of course you can get one with like 70-90k miles on it for around $1000, but why put a crapped out old engine in a new car? =/
