I got the AEM and love it. I honestly don't think there is much difference performance wise between intakes that are basically the same.
Have had mine for about 9k miles and no problems. I have wondered about the filter, though. I checked it last time I changed my oil and it still looked clean. If it is oil-less, we would have to get a new one, reTro? I think I will check this out.
<---- BTW....part of it is my avatar.

I guess this answers our filter question, reTro (straight from the AEM website):
Service your AEM filter element with AEM's Filter Cleaning System at least every 50,000 miles or 30 months to maintain optimum performance. We recommend that AEM filter elements be serviced every 25,000 miles or 15 months on off-road and high-performance street applications. If you live in a region with extremely fine dust (arid or desert climates for example, follow the recommended schedule for off-road and high-performance vehicles. Always inspect your filter element whenever you change your oil.

Here is someone who sells the filter cleaner kit: http://www.racingworks.com/aem_air_filter_cleaner.htm
I am guessing this is the same as the K&N filter cleaner kit or similar?

go to k&n's website, their new dry filters only need to be washed with water and air dried. no oil or wicking period to wait for, just dry and go. AEM's should be the same, but I won't say it is.

I cleaned it in solvent, lightly sanded it, then used a DupliColor high temp "Ford Red' with about 6 light coats. After it had been on the engine for about a week, I sanded down the MIVEC to the metal to give it back that brushed look.

Two companies. Injen makes an auto CAI, can be found for around $220, this is the one you've likely seen. Fujita (f5air.com) makes one as well, but it runs about $100 more. Nobody has it on these forums. The Injen is 2 piece, and I heard it's held together with a rubber joint. Nobody knows anything about the Fujita other then it appears they've managed to get 12HP to the wheels out of it on an automatic.

RRM and AEM both make SRIs for the RA, run about $50 less.
