This is the exact part that I want. I want a cat so that everything stays legal, the engine stays quiet, and so that the CEL never needs to come on over emissions. As soon as this part is ready I will buy it.

This will bolt right up to stock exhaust, have option for cat or catless d.p. versions and even catless RACE SERIES with have CEL eliminator so........... Wait till you see production. First prototype finished today. Need to make a jig, then testfit part off of it then it is on!!

Hrm, that looks comfy. If I were to screw those tighter, would it do weird things to your nerves?

Well let's see, I'm certain that nowhere in this thread does ROCK say that the header will be ready in a month. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty certain that he gave no timeline for this product to be in a state of production readiness. You're right in the fact that it would be extremely difficult for them to put something together that could be productive that quickly. On the other hand, I, a person who has never picked up a welding torch, and has never taken an engineering course, given a weeks time and the appropriate materials, could probably weld together a header that would at least look like it would work, then come on these forums and talk about how much more powerful my car would be, and get at least a dozen people who ask me about the price despite the fact that there's no way in hell I could deliver something that was actually worth anything.

Now I know that RRM would never do something like that, but regardless of who it is, when someone goes back and contradicts something they previously said, I think it's more then reasonable to expect an explination as to why. As you can see, ROCK gave a perfectly logical one.

Now we are thinking outside the box a bit and we have had this wating in the wings for a while but it was lower priorirty than turbo. We are done with turbo guys for now so we are back on the N/A trail. Prices are unclear now but we can afford to kill competitiors pricing so let them post a price first............

That's awesome. Since the DP doesn't work with those 1 outta 5 lancers, this application is designed to resolve that issue. I assume this thing is going to be backwards compatible to users capable of using the existing downpipes as well? I certainly hope there are some impressive gains to be found here. Hopefully you guys can do something about that downpipe civic sound as well with this kind of solution.

Kericr - I'll jump in and answer your questions. First off, this won't work with the downpipe, as it will have it's own downpipe integrated. People who currently have the RRM downpipe will just have to sell it off if they want the header. Secondly, production should be soon. I think you missed the post where ROCK stated that they just need to make the jig, ensure it works, then they're ready to go. If they make it a priority, I don't see why they wouldn't be ready to go in a couple weeks. Depends on their customer volume on installs, I suppose.
