Thanks. We have been working hard on this and expect 10ish h.p. Modernracer, saying that it is a fact that it won't help is your opinion and you are enttiled to that. Please, don't say it is a fact! You can't know that. That is the kind of thing you are saying other are doing. We will all see soon. No need to debate it further. Also the great thing about this is it will bring better torque than d.p. alone and it will fit all RAs 04-06. Thanks

just to jump in... a 4-1 header is a double edge dagger is a mod in wich you need to have sufficient mods to support it, all by itself it does not do much thats a fact
the life of my car, next to the nitrous, is the modded ecu, the results were initially like predicted.. on the stock one so there im ok but when i made the switch the results were out of target because i neglected to change values on the ecu in order to support it.. so i screwd up

remember the gains depend solely on the mods you have

as far as the rrm header, i dont know the fact, but if a 'gain number' is to be revealed i do hope is with all the mods on inventory or else it will be the same story 5 to 9 depending on mod

Yes support mods are everything. People tend to oversimplify things sometimes.

thats what pr_mivec was saying. he had gains on the accolade, and then switched over to his aftermarket ECU and lost power b/c he didnt edit the program of the aftermarket ecu right for the header.

ok well we might as well put this debate to rest for now and see what the actual numbers are from RRM when it comes out, there is no need to argue until we are blue in the face, we'll just have to wait and see.

before you start speaking about someone elses posts you should probably read the whole thread, and don't simplify the information in order to support your own cause. We want to get the most accurate information possible just like you do, modernracer, so work with everyone and don't just start shooting off at the mouth. That doesn't help anyone, least of all yourself.

on a more positive note, if you look at the stock downpipe and cat compared to the downpipe and high flow cat from RRM you can clearly see where the large gains are. The gains from stock to the new header/dp/cat combo should at least equal the gains of the dp/cat combo. If RRM was able to improve the header even ONE HP you will have a better gain than the guys (myself included) with the dp/high flow cat. The possibility of a one hp gain on the header alone may seem pretty reasonable to most. When you add the "support mod" of the dp that goes with the header and then add a high flow cat you could probably see more gain from the header/dp/cat combo than you at first think. Remember, they aren't designing just the header and then adding some pipe to it, everything works together better. I expect to see the most gains from the 4-way merge. The better this area flows the more power you will see. No matter what, it will be better than the dp/cat combo I have. Of that I am sure.

we'll see, i still hold the right to my opinion as much as the next guy, so we'll all have to wait and see what comes of this.

absolutely right. I just wish we didn't have to regress to second grade to hear it. and you aren't the only one, I wasn't attacking you, just asking you to make sure your info was accurate.

i know the downpipe they have out now is supposed to have a civic sound to it. but it probably depends on other mods you've done intake, exhaust, cat, etc.

The only thing affecting sound is whether you have a cat or not. Catless DP or header/dp combo will sound the same. Get a header/dp with a cat, and it'll sound like stock.

Hey i understand you totally, i'm not hear to bash anyone or they'er products, i'm just trying to see both sides of the products outcome, hey if it really works then great, but if the increase is only slight then i will have proven my point, that's all i meant by that.
