I just ordered the piggyback for my auto RA
and wanted to know if anyone could give me some pointers on playing with the software.
My mods are listed in my sig. and im guessing that the ecu comes tuned great for my mods and i dont need to make any changes......?

Normally I'd agree with this, but you gotta start somewhere. When I pick up my PB I'll feel pretty noobish also and any tips/pointers anyone has would be awesome. For what its worth, there are a number of tuning write-ups in the evo threads that are worth a read though.
i know you do need to star somewhere but one bad change could end in a bad situation... if he was to tune it himself dont ask what you might do but understand what a change is all about... thats why yo go to the source rrm instead to generally 'ask' people who might not have the piggy for imput, not bashing you at all since you have the piggy, but see this thread in about 5 to 6 hours
One good feature is you can start with RRM's map and work from there.
Also you can keep the RRM map under a diff. file name, so if you screw up you can at least go back and load a working map. However there is still a chance you could do something very drastic and wreck your car.
I would think for tuning you should have a wideband IE. Zietronics (sp) but it is more $$$ .

well i figured making suttle changes to sutff i understand wouldn't destroy me. but i think there'll be alot of values that i have no clue what they do and thought someone who has played with it more could tell me what i shouldnt go touching.
Trending Topics
The only way im tuning is when I get the header and port the manifold, upgrade the fuel pump and injectors...
Which brings me to the question...what cc size are RA injectors?
Susprises even me that I dont know this already

Good point. I think I was misunderstanding you. RRM *IS* the place to start regarding tuning questions and what not.
This is what I found in a diff thread.
I recomend to all of the RRM piggy that want to tune their car themselves to first conecct a laptop computer to the piggy do a load maps from ecu after you connect to it open view maps after it pulls the maps check in options menu that everthing is like RRM recomends Maps should be in voltage. Start the car at idle the values that should be highlited in the table should be in the 1.4-6V range acelerate the car and you'll see the prompt highlited jump to a higher voltage this is to make you familiarize with the system now for more familiarization make a friend drive your car while you in the pasengers seat with the laptop check how the prompt moves while driving TAKE NOTES while cruiseing of the values the car uses in part, transition, and Wide Open Trottle get to know how it works before you touch anything.
Now For Dyno Tunning.
Remember when tunning on dyno do a datalog of the pull and make sure they put the AFR readings in the dyno so you can compare the AFR vs RPM vs The value in voltage the MAF was running at that time. I always use a non-permanent marker to mark the screen of the laptop or monitor this is very usefull bc's when I dyno I do a pull and have a friend with the laptop draw a line were the promt is running during the pull and then compare the AFR readings from the dyno to the values that were used in the table make subtle changes and do another pull. This is the way I have used this tool and had helped me alot acomplish 250-297whp stock internals safelly for almost a year.
This is the way I tune with this tool so take what you like from it. And by no means I am reponsable for any damage caused to your engine while, before and after you tune your vehicle.

Thanks. That is why we never wanted to release software. Guys who are tuning have to know .....
WHY!
HOW!
WHAT TOOLS or EQUIPMENT YOU NEED
AFRs
Becareful or get an expert to do it. I don't wanna read MY RRM PIGGY BLEW MY ENGINE. THread should have more of a title like. I SUCK, I SUCK and GOT WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR.
The premap will work fine with most mods. Only change map if you read piggytech page on our site and understand that you have specific mods that need accomodating.

I think the post adam dug up is the place to start. i figured you guys at RRM are swamped with our ?s so i keep it as a last resort.
I work with computers and that stuff for a living, so with a little time and playing i'm sure i can figure it out.

I would recomend not going under the 9.5 value in any cell. And check that all the values before 3Volts in any rpm be 10. As for pointers 10 means stock or "0"over this value is +'s (rich) under this value ej. 9.8 is -'s fuel (lean). If you have any value in the original map sent to you by RRM under 9 contact ROCK or RRM for the correct map and don't run the car more than 50% trottle. I saw a car last month with incorrect map and had to dyno tune A/F's where in the 16-17 exterme lean range. But I'm shure this dont happen much and probably isolated case. Overall its a good product
