Question about straight pipe

Right now since I got my header installed with the downpipe from RRM its just a straight exhaust, my catalytic converter (stock) was taken out so now it just runs sraight to the flowmaster exhaust stystem. It sounds great at low RPMS but at higher RPMS it has a raspy loud noise, I just ordered the magnaflow cat from RRM, when I install that will it cut down the noise signifigantly? I just have a feeling I'm going to get pulled over if I step on it around a cop.

It will cut down the noise significantly, but expect to have a louder car anyway. I have the stock muffler, RRM downpipe and high flow cat and I got pulled over for "*******" my car in front of a state trooper a few weeks ago. I didn't go above 4500RPM, but I guess it was too loud. No ticket though. He just told me to do that when he wasn't around. Whatever pig.

Alright perfect, I'll just try not to floor it around town here and save that for the highway.

You will need a cat, mine is ridiculously loud when I hit high RPMS its a whiney raspy loud so I need a cat. Low RPMS its deep and fine.
